FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)
I'm a beginner! What do I need to know?
First off, make sure you get to the mountain early. It takes time to get tickets and rental equipment, so getting there on time for a trip is critical if you're picking up lift/rental tickets from me. I may not hear my phone right away once I'm on the mountain.
If you're a beginner,
you want to make sure you have waterproof pants- snowboard/ski pants are
the best option, but any waterproof pants should do. You'll also want a
warm winter coat, high socks, and gloves. Dress warm, because it's cold at the top :)
What about socks/shoes/gloves/hats?
You'll want to wear one pair of high socks to keep your feet warm.
For
shoes, you'll want snowboard boots or ski boots specifically made to
attach to your skis/snowboard. If you're renting a snowboard/skis, boots
are included in the rental, so wear whatever shoes you want to the
mountain, since you'll be changing out of them anyway.
Gloves are a must (snow tends to be cold). If you want extra protection, gloves with built-in wrist guards are a great idea. If you already have gloves, you can get snowboard/ski-specific wrist guards to wear over/under your gloves.
You don't need a hat, since you'll need to be wearing a helmet (which you can rent if you don't have one).
